Radar Online is reporting that the legendary Whitney Houston died thanks to an accidental but deadly mixture of Valium, Xanax and alcohol.
A source described as “close to the situation” tells the gossip site, “Whitney had taken Valium, Xanax, and alcohol, which led to her death. The coroner is waiting on final toxicology results to determine which one of the three was the major contributing factor of her demise.
They also allege: “The coroner will be closely examining Whitney’s blood alcohol content at the time she died as well. The sedatives and alcohol will almost certainly be the cause of death, and not drowning. Her heart stopped beating because her respiratory system was suppressed because of the anti-anxiety meds, and combined with the booze it probably happened very quickly before she was found partially submerged in the bathtub.”
None of this has been confirmed as the L.A. County’s Coroner Office has yet to release their final report. If this proves to be true, I’d like to think it might spur a much-needed debate about prescription deaths – which are rising. In fact, the Los Angeles Times studied government data on the matter and ruled that thanks to rising drug prescripts, drug deaths now outnumber traffic fatalities.

I propose a law called Whitney’s Law- here’s how it would work:
all psychogenic drugs would be prescribed by a psychriast only- and there would have to be documented therapy along with the refills; if this is not done as to the symptoms getting better, or the condition resolved and the doc continue to prescribe; then the doc is sanctioned.
next- though pain is subjective, acute pain is self limiting, chronic pain is not and should be treated in other ways after pain meds are stopped..and pain meds should be monitored- for drug levels ( some sell their pills), for pain relief ( how are you shakin’it at the club every week-end in chronic pain) again, if criteria is not met, then th doc gets sanction. No one writes their OWN prescriptions..The doctors/ health care professionals should be held accountable
