J.J. Evans

It was as GOOD TIMES’ J.J. Evans that comic Jimmie Walker catapulted to stardom, becoming one of the most memorable faces on television during the 1970’s.  While GOOD TIMES provided Walker with his most prominent and enduring role, it isn’t his only accomplishement during a show business career that has spanned four decades.

Based on his success in GOOD TIMES, Walker landed a number of guest starring roles on TV shows such as  The Love Boat, The White Shadow, Cagney & Lacey, The Fall Guy, Blossom, The Larry Sanders Show, The John Larroquette Show, The Drew Carey Show and Scrubs.  He was also a regular on The Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour, and appeared on the primetime game show, The Weakest Link .

As a series regular, Walker has appeared on B.A.D. Cats, At Ease, and Bustin’ Loose.  His made-for-television films include The Greatest Thing That Almost Happened, Murder Can Hurt You, and The Jerk, Too.  As a feature film actor, he’s appeared in Lets Do It Again, Rabbit Test, Airport 79, Airplane!, Doin’ Time, Going Bananas, Invasion of the Space Preachers, Home Alone 2, and Monster Mash: The Movie.

For his performance as GOOD TIMES’ J.J. Evans, Walker was nominated twice for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
