TV One’s hit series Hollywood Divas is returning this summer and the heat is already on! Malika Haqq (Keeping Up With The Kardashians), who is best known for her breakout role in ATL, is joining the cast. With the Los Angeles-based filming currently underway, Haqq joins alumna cast members Golden Brooks, Paula Jai Parker, Lisa Wu and Countess Vaughn. The third season will catch up with the leading ladies as they take their growing success to new heights. Viewers will also follow along as Haqq returns to the acting world in hopes of taking over Hollywood in a major way.

“This season, I wanted to explore a different side of Hollywood and that’s Young, Black Hollywood,” remarked executive producer Carlos King. “Malika Haqq not only represents that world; she thrives in it. She is truly a Hollywood Diva.”

“One of my most challenging moves to date has been stepping out of my comfort zone,” said Haqq. “At the same time, I know I need to grow and surround myself around other actors, so joining the cast of Divas seemed like a leap of faith in the right direction.”

Haqq has been entertaining audiences since the tender age of 6 months old, when she made her television debut on Benson starring Robert Guillaume. In 2005 she made her feature film debut in the Walt Disney film, Sky High as the multiplying cheerleader, Penny. This led to her most talked about role to date as Star, one-half of the very opinionated twins in the 2006 Warner Bros. film ATL. Guest starring roles on Lifetime’s Strong Medicine, HBO’s Entourage, and NBC’s Las Vegas followed; as well as national commercials for Pizza Hut and KFC. In 2010, she starred in BET’s Somebody Help Me 2, as Jasmine, the good girl-gone bad, opposite Marques Houston and Omarion. Haqq has been a recognizable figure on E!’s long running reality series Keeping UpWith the Kardashians, as well as its spin-off Khloe and Lamar. She’s also made guest appearances on BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood, TV One’s series Love That Girl and original film Definitely Divorcing, and Bounce TV’s Family Time.  Her body of work so far has prepared her for the next exciting phase of her career. She can currently be seen on E!’s Dash Dolls.
