Let’s be clear, “Empire” DOMINATED at last year’s Image Awards — walking away with four wins including statues for Taraji, Terrence and, of course, Outstanding Drama Series.
But it’s a new year and that means new competition. 50’s “Power” is no slouch and with Ava Duvernay’s “Queen Sugar” as well as water-cooler shows like “Underground” and “This Is Us” on the roster, Cookie an ’em have a fight on their hands.
