For those who don’t know, the murder of Emmett Till was a major catalyst for the Civil Rights movement, very similar to that of the murder of Trayvon Martin and the Black Lives Matter movement.
This act of disrespect towards the memory of Emmett Till is more reason why his story should continue to be highlighted. It is being reported that Jay Z and Will Smith are working on an HBO mini-series of the life and tragic murder of the teenager. The two have recently decided on a writer for the script.
